NEWSLETTERS MADE SIMPLE
The best tools for the best newsletters

Before switching to Beehiiv, I have to admit that writing a newsletter suuucked.

The platforms I used before were outdated and difficult to use, which made the whole process exhausting.

I once complained to a customer service representative about this, and they nonchalantly responded that nothing could be done about it.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was almost ready to give up on newsletters entirely. Then I heard about Beehiiv and decided to try it as a last resort.

Since then, my newsletter has been completely transformed, and subscribers have significantly increased.

This success is not coincidental; Beehiiv provided me with all the necessary tools, from audience insights to growth strategies, in one convenient platform.

Say Goodbye to Complicated Newsletter Management: beehiiv Makes It Simple

Beehiiv is affordable, effective, and extremely user-friendly. Seriously, ask anyone you know who has a newsletter here.

Testimonials consistently highlight beehiiv's ease of use, impactful features, community support, and effectiveness in enhancing newsletter engagement.

Listen, talk is cheap, so you’ll just have to take my word for it and try it yourself.

Thankfully, I convinced the folks at Beehiiv to offer Weekly Download readers a free 30-day trial PLUS 20% off for three months.

So, if you’re looking for a new platform for your newsletter or looking to create an entirely new one (they’re great for websites, too), do yourself and take advantage of this offer 👇.

WHERE THE F&%!* IS THIS TAB?!
How to Find That Missing Chrome Tab

Ever find yourself swearing to the heavens wondering where that damn Chrome tab you’ve been searching for 20 minutes?

Did you know there’s a dead simple trick to finding them? Here’s how:

If you’re on Chrome, click the dropdown menu in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

For the most part, this dropdown menu is in the same location across different browsers.

Pro Tip: If you’re a shortcut hero, type any of the commands to your browser's address bar and type a specific character followed by a space:

  • @tabs for Chrome

  • % for Firefox

  • % for Edge

Type a few characters of what you remember in the lost but not forgotten tab, and boom, the tab you need. Give it a try and save time hunting down tabs across multiple windows.

Do you have any tips you want to share? We’ll feature it here on the Weekly Download if they're helpful. Shoot me an email [email protected]

THIS WEEK IN TECH

OpenAI plans to make an announcement related to ChatGPT on Monday. However, the exact details of the announcement are not yet known – via KnowTechie

  • 🪄 ChatGPT—A Magical Experience—OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, without giving us too many details, tweeted the new udate "feels like magic."

  • 🔍 Event Speculations - It's being speculated that OpenAI might announce a ChatGPT-powered search engine during this event.

  • 🕵️‍♂️ Skepticism Around the Rumors—Despite all the buzz, some think it might just be usual maintenance work or long-term plans, not anything immediate.

QuickTechie:
While everyone's excited about the possibility of OpenAI launching a new ChatGPT search engine, it might just be people making a big deal out of some everyday planning steps. Until OpenAI says something official, we shouldn't get too caught up in the rumors. 💼🤔

Apple launched new iPads, including a refreshed iPad Air with the M2 chip and a new 13-inch size option. They also released a new iPad Pro with the newly minted M4 chip. Here’s what you need to know:

  • 📏 The new iPad Pro is the thinnest product by Apple, available in 11" and 13" sizes. Its Ultra Retina XDR display uses OLED tech for extreme brightness and precise contrast.

  • 💪 Powered by the M4 chip, the iPad Pro brings phenomenal performance with a powerful GPU, hardware-accelerated ray tracing, and a Neural Engine because, you know, AI.

  • ✍️ Complemented by Apple Pencil Pro, the iPad Pro provides a pixel-perfect, low latency creative experience with tilt sensitivity and palm rejection support.

  • 🎨 The iPad Pro is available in silver and space black finishes, with orders open and availability starting May 15th.

  • 💨 The new iPad Air features a redesigned 11" and all-new 13" model, powered by the M2 chip, faster Wi-Fi, and Apple Pencil Pro support. It's available in blue, purple, starlight, and space gray finishes.

QuickTechie:
Apple's new iPad Pro and iPad Air are beautifully packaged, expensive presents—another test of our needs versus wants. Sure, they dazzle with killer displays and horsepower, but I wonder if we need Ferrari-level tablets for Netflix and Zoom marathons.

Apple is in the final stages of making a deal with OpenAI. And you know what that means? ChatGPT is coming to your iPhone. This is a big step forward for Apple's AI capabilities.

We don't have all the specific details just yet, but we're expecting some major announcements at WWDC and, hopefully, tomorrow’s OpenAI event. Stay tuned for more updates – Bloomberg

  • 📱 Apple finalizes negotiations with OpenAI: The tech giant is close to inking a deal to integrate ChatGPT into iPhones with iOS 18, reports Bloomberg.

  • 🤖 ChatGPT to enhance iOS features: Apple plans to include ChatGPT as part of a broader initiative to expand AI capabilities in the upcoming iOS release.

  • 🗓️ Upcoming announcements: Apple aims to reveal new AI features at WWDC with a special event on June 10; OpenAI also plans a separate announcement soon. #TechEvents

  • 🎙️ OpenAI’s AI voice assistant: In development, this AI assistant could potentially rival Siri and Google's Assistant.

Quick Techie: Apple's plan to add ChatGPT to iPhones could make them much smarter, changing how we use our phones daily. Siri is so laughable right now that it hurts. It’s unusable most of the time. If this fixes it, Apple will undoubtedly retain its crown for years.
