Forget ChatGPT - Email still blows me away

Email. It's surprising how big a role it still plays today. Can you think of life without it? Honestly, a break from email, even just for a week, sounds good to me. But why am I talking about this?

Take this newsletter, for instance. Many of you might not know, but I've been trying out a bunch of different email services, and none of them have made me stick around.

One big problem I have with these services is their text editor - the place where you write your emails. It's just so frustrating to use, and the thought of having to write another email just drains me. I'm drowning in emails, folks.

👇 Here, I’ll show you 👇

Now, keep in mind this is 3 mailboxes in one, but still, no one should have to visit down and email this one. It’s been said that

What I’m going to do about it

First things first. I booked my wife and me tickets to Mexico for a much-needed vacation. Secondly, I switched to a newsletter service that you’re reading this on right now: Beehiiv. So far, it’s amazing. Here’s why I’ll probably stick with them for the foreseeable future:

  • Most of the newsletters that I subscribe to are hosted on Beehiiv, so I see a lot of its features first-hand.

  • Pricing is aggressively fair, like, no one is matching their pricing.

  • Most importantly, the editor is an absolute dream to type on. It’s fast, doesn’t lag, and one of my favorites: keyboard shortcuts.

If you write a newsletter or are thinking of trying one yourself, feel free to check them out. This is my first newsletter with them the only complaint I have is the setup process and the amount of time required to finish. See more below:

I recently discovered a helpful tool called SaneBox that has significantly improved my email management. It's a unique approach that claims to clean up your inbox in a snap, and after trying it out for the first time, I found it to be true.

SaneBox efficiently sorts through emails, keeping important ones visible and storing away the rest. It's still early days, so I haven't given it my final verdict yet, but I'll keep you updated on how it works out. If you're interested in trying it out, you can find it here or by clicking the button below.

⚡️ Newsblast – Here’s what you might have missed this week

Reddit is an absolute not mess right now. The company doesn’t want to hand third-party developers out free access to Reddit’s API. So, in turn, massive protests are still underway.

Reddit’s CEO, being the natural dweeb that he is, doubled down on his stance. He keeps this up, and it seems like the site is going to go the way of Digg all those years back.

This one really hits home to me because, as site owners, we do a ton of work behind the scenes just to get people to find our stuff on Google. But this is because Google said we had to. Little did we know, this whole time, they were only making us better so they could steal and plagiarize our content.

Paul McCartney says a sound editor used AI to “extricate” John Lennon's voice from an old demo to create “the final Beatles record,” slated for release in 2023. I imagine this is going to bring closure to a lot of Beatles fans.
